Research on film institutions

When looking at institutions and film productions, you can see that it is very unlikely that our film will be made by universal and working title productions, as the movie is a low budget British film, one of the only ways we could get our film produced professionally is to create our own website on it and how the sequence is produced.

There are many institutions to choose from which helps us to create a full Finnish low budget movie. When looking at the BBC Film Network you can see that this institution helps make new homemade films get broadcast  online, these movies can be animated, music videos, drama's, comedy and documentary. At this website  people upload their movies and then they get rated by the public according on how good they are. This i think is a very good way to promote small scale movies as its free and producers may see it and use the idea.

Film 4 also develops and co-finances films ad it is known for working with the innovative talent in the UK, whether new or established films. This may work for our film as we would have to submit out ideas, however as we have already have filmed thee first two minutes it isn't likely that they would use our idea.

Vertigo films is a UK media company that was founded in 2002 to create and distribute commercially driven independent cinema. Vertigo was first in creating Europe's first all 3D movie STREETDANCE 3D This entered in the box office at number one beating Disney's prince of Persia and therefore becoming one of the most successful UK independent film of all time. Vertigo are very successful in promoting films as they use social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter as they generate a lot of interest from the targeted audience.
