Editing in class

Monday 7th February 2011

Today Lydia bought the camera into college after looking after it over the weekend. Today our main objective was to start editing the footage, and making the sequences consistent, and well edited, with Non-Diegetic music added and a range of shots, angles, and dialogue included into the overall final edit in order for it to meet the success criteria of the preliminary task.

Although we tried hard to meet our objective, we had trouble with using the software and uploading the footage from the camera onto the MAC PC. We experimented with a wide range of USB cables, and fire cables to get the footage, but it still did not work. After much experimenting, and assistance from our teachers, we managed to get the footage up onto the mac, but then had trouble editing the footage.

This whole process took a while to do, and as a consequence of which, we had 10 minutes left of the lesson.
We decided to proceed with editing the blog towards the end of the lesson, and to proceed with trying to get the footage onto the MAC PC in tomorrows media lesson (8/02/11).

Blog written by Mohedene, with assistance from James, Lydia and Katie.
