I constructed two potential scripts for the other main character that will hopefully be acting beside me tomorrow. There are two scripts in order for my group to decide which is the best one and which script is more appropriate to use.
This is the first script:
Potential opposition Script 1 –
Why don’t they just go back to their countries? They steal our jobs, they threaten our people... I hate them, I hate every single one of them, and who do they think they are? Stupid asylum seekers, with their beards, and their scary looks. They will get whats comming to them, for sure. I don’t like them. And im sure our side feel the same.
(BOLD = TO EMPHASISE)
This particular script revolves around indirect offensive remarks that could be used to portray the general stereotype of foreign individuals within London, and it also signifies the hate and aggression this particular individual has towards different cultures, which merges well with the storyline and the whole overall theme of the main task.
Potential opposition script 2 –
Argh, I've had enough of these people wondering around the place like they own and rule everything! but that's life I suppose, I'm not against multiculturalism, but now I see the drawbacks of it. They will get whats comming to them sooner or later. Who do they think they are.
This is a much softer approach, which contains key words which signify aggression or opposition towards foreign individuals. Although it is less direct and generally less full on than the first script, this script has a sense of anger, aswell as dignity for this particular character, which needs to be created in order for the storyline to be surprising as well as as effective as possible.
